The Spanish Drama 'Nevenka' premiered in Beijing Guohuaxianfeng Theater On the evening of September 19th, 2026.

The script is adapted from a real case.In 2001, for the first time in Spain’s history, a woman won a sexual harassment lawsuit against a politician. Nevenka Fernández was the first woman to bring a mayor before the courts, becoming the country’s first “MeToo” case in a society that ruled in her favour legally, yet publicly stigmatized her.

Nevenka revisits this milestone court case with a sharp documentary precision. Today, this case reflects back the society we once were, revealing both the progress made and the wounds that remain. Today, Nevenka continues to be a mirror in which the women who came before her — and those who followed — can see themselves; a reflection of a society that has changed, or perhaps not so much.
